We're a pair of football crazy university students based in South Africa.
From a young age, we've been obsessing over the beautiful game and thought it was about time that we shared our passion and insight with the global football community. We noticed many pitfalls existing on current football sites, which was another contributing factor to the inception of this site. At FootyPurists,  we're all about facts and figures. Yes, there will be times we look at transfer rumours but we hope to pick out only the ones that have an actual chance of materialising.
FootyPurists wants to give our readers the best, most accurate insight out there. We'll be drawing on stats from our favourite websites, such as Squawka and WhoScored. (both powered by Opta stats) We want to improve knowledge within the football community, and establish a network of people as passionate about the game as we are. We have big dreams, but everyone has to start somewhere, right? We won't be doing the calculations. We'll be analysing them for your convenience!
We want you to be ahead of the game, and will continue to provide you with in depth previews and predicitons. We will be giving you valuable insight on the rising stars of the game, and will be covering transfers throughout the window. One key feature of the site is our diverse nature. We want to encompass all things football, be it in reality or on your PlayStation; we've got you covered! We'll be bringing you FIFA insight as well as tips for your Fanatsy Premier League teams.
Welcome to the hub of football. Welcome to FootyPurists.
